Over 80 physicians participate each year in the Shadow A Doctor Day in the Halifax area, where first-year medical students are starting their studies at Dalhousie University.

A hallway at Yarmouth Regional Hospital is being transformed into a gallery where patients, visitors and staff may discover and enjoy original works by local artists. The gallery project is called Du Coeur – From the Heart and is a collaboration between the Yarmouth Art Society, Yarmouth Craft Guild, Conseil des Arts de la Baie, Conseil des Arts de Par en Bas, the Yarmouth Hospital Auxiliary and Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA).
