Temporary closure at Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital’s CEC emergency department

MIDDLE MUSQUODOBOIT, N.S. – Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) wishes to advise the public that the emergency department at Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital’s collaborative emergency centre (CEC) will be closed from 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10 until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 due to lack of physician coverage.

Normally, the emergency department at the CEC is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It closes nightly as per usual. The remainder of the CEC is open as regularly scheduled.

Those experiencing a medical emergency should always call 911.

General health concerns can be directed to 811, where health advice and information are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from registered nurses.
