Renovating a hospital is not a simple task; there are many moving pieces that must be carefully considered in addition to the task of planning and designing a space that will function well now and 20 years from now.
The addition of a new elevator at South Shore Regional Hospital will improve care, comfort and privacy for patients. Installation of the elevator is scheduled to begin Aug. 2 and is expected to take 10 months.
Repairs are essentially complete to areas of Yarmouth Regional Hospital, building B, which were damaged by flood in December 2016. There are still a few remaining items that need to be addressed, but plans to move relocated offices and services back to their original locations are on schedule.
